Heidrick & Struggles Adds 11 New Partners Globally
Firm strengthens Healthcare and Life Sciences, Global Technology, Functional and Consumer Markets Practices

CHICAGO, April 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Heidrick & Struggles (Nasdaq:HSII), the premier provider of executive search, leadership consulting and culture shaping worldwide, today  announced that the firm has strengthened its global depth of consultative  expertise with the hiring of 11 new Partners.

"These new partner hires demonstrate significant growth momentum for Heidrick & Struggles.  They will help us deliver additional insight and value to our clients in a variety of industries.  In particular, we are adding great new strength to our Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice, with four new partners, including the new global practice leader. We have also added significantly to our Global Technology, Financial Services, Functional and Consumer Markets practices, each with two new partners," said Krishnan Rajagopalan, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Practices – Heidrick & Struggles.

  • Birgit Adels: Consumer Markets Practice - Amsterdam
    Adels will focus on senior executive and C-suite searches and consultancy in consumer markets. The majority of her focus will be in the Fashion, Luxury, Beauty, Retail, Media, E-Commerce and Entertainment sectors. For more than 20 years, Adels has held leadership roles in search and in industry. She was a founding partner of a consultancy firm advising on intercultural management and organizational transformation. Previously, she served as CEO for Northern Europe of the Prada Group.
  • Katie Bell: Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice - Atlanta
    Bell has nearly 20 years of experience working within the healthcare and consulting industries. During this time, she has served as a strategic consultant partnering with organizations to achieve their business goals.  Bell's expertise spans the public and private sectors, working with healthcare providers as well as federal, state and local governments.
  • Samantha Carey: Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice - New York
    Carey had been a senior member of the Global Healthcare & Life Science practice and Private Equity practice at a global executive search firm. Previously, she was a partner with a leading international healthcare-executive search firm. Carey has been named to BusinessWeek's list of the "World's Most Influential Headhunters." Earlier in her career, Carey worked at MediMetrix, a boutique strategy consulting firm serving the healthcare industry.
  • Tim Dietlin: Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice - Chicago
    Dietlin served as a partner at IBM and led the firm's Life Sciences Strategy and Transformation consulting practice. Previously, he was the SVP of Global Consulting and Strategic Alliances with INC Research, a global contract research organization. Earlier, he was a VP at Campbell Alliance, a life sciences management consulting firm, where he led the R&D and Medical Affairs consulting practices.
  • Deborah Farnaby:  Global Technology & Services Practice - Johannesburg
    Farnaby brings both industry knowledge and consulting expertise to the Global Technology & Services Practice. She worked for more than 20 years within the information technology sector before becoming a search consultant. Previously, she was a director at a startup formed to provide consulting and prior to that she served as the Group Director of Information Technology (CIO) at The De Beers Group.
  • Paul Groce: Information and Technology Officers Practice - New York
    Groce was a Partner and Head of the Global CIO, Technology & Operations practice for another major search firm where was a founding member of the firm's Financial Services practice. Groce has placed C-suite technology, data, shared-services and operations executives in key positions across all industries via specialization in the professional roles of Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Data Officer.
  • Daniel Kaplan: Chief Human Resources Officers Practice (Global Co-leader) - New York
    Kaplan co-leads the firm's Chief Human Resources Officers Practice. With nearly 20 years in talent acquisition, he has completed numerous high-profile assignments for CHROs and Chief Talent Officers across the world. Kaplan has been named to BusinessWeek's "50 Most Influential Headhunters." Previously, Kaplan was a Managing Partner at an international executive search firm, leading the Global Human Resources Practice.
  • Francois Kouroriez: Financial Services Practice - Boston
    Kouroriez joins Heidrick & Struggles as a Managing Partner within the Financial Services Practice. He has spent more than 25 years working in financial services, including the last 20 in the insurance sector. He brings valuable functional experience in finance, risk, product and business development, M&A and sourcing. Kouroriez is a multi-lingual leader having lived in Asia, Europe and North America.
  • Nancie Lataille: Consumer Markets Practice - Toronto
    Lataille most recently was a senior client partner within the Consumer and Legal, Risk and Compliance practices at a leading global search firm.  She is well experienced in advising international and Canadian corporations and boards in the areas of executive talent strategy, recruitment, development and management. She began her search career at a boutique firm, following private practice as a commercial/insolvency lawyer with leading law firms in Toronto and Montreal. Lataille is a former corporate director of easyhome Ltd, Canada's largest merchandise lease company.
  • Michael Matella: Global Technology & Services Practice (Co-leader of Global Services) - Chicago
    Matella co-leads Heidrick & Stuggles' Global Services Practice. He joins the firm after serving as the Global Head of the Professional Services practice at a global executive search firm. Matella also served as Managing Partner of the Global Professional Services practice for a European-based executive search firm where he founded, led and significantly grew its Global Professional Services practice.
  • John Mitchell: Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice - Global Practice Managing Partner (New York/Miami)
    Mitchell now leads a team of more than 80 partners, principals and associates in the Americas, Europe and Asia serving clients in the biopharmaceutical, medical technology and healthcare services sectors. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in executive search, working at the senior executive and board levels. Most recently, he led the global Private Equity practice at a leading executive search firm. Previously, he was that firm's Life Sciences Practice Leader for the Americas and a core member of its CEO & Board practice.
