MEXICO CITY, May 22, 2014 -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSII), the premier professional services firm focused on serving the leadership needs of top organizations globally, today announced that Manuel Gomez has joined the firm as a Partner within the Financial Services Practice. He is based in Mexico City.

Commenting on his appointment, Daniel Edwards, Global Managing Partner of Financial Services said, “Manuel’s absolute client focus and deep range of experience make him a tremendous addition to lead our Latin America Financial Services team. Manuel will be based in Mexico, but his role and outlook will be international to match our clients’ focus. Gomez joins after having served as the CEO and head of Client Coverage for RBS in Mexico City. Prior to accepting the top country role, he spent more than 12 years in a variety of roles with increased responsibilities. His primary function was in regards to client coverage and client planning for the firm. Prior to RBS he spent eight years at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where he was a Vice President with the Investment Banking team in Mexico and New York.

Gomez has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Instituto Tecnologio Automomo de Mexico and a Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University.
