O'Brien started her consulting career in Singapore as an Associate with Price Waterhouse focusing on Southeast Asia clients.
O'Brien holds a bachelors degree from New York University and graduated magna cum laude, in accounting. In 2008, she was recognized by Businessweek Magazine as one of the world's most influential headhunters. O'Brien has served as a member of the Women's Leadership Board at the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government and is fluent in three languages; English, Chinese, Malay.
