CHICAGO, Mar 8, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) --
Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq:HSII), the leadership advisory firm providing executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide, announced today the launch of its "Cloud" Practice.
As was the case with "e-business", "mobile communications" and "Y2K", the discussion around Cloud Computing has generated heightened interest among businesses and consumers alike. Yet, technology and service companies remain largely unprepared to deliver. What will drive Cloud Computing's success will be the technology sector's ability to transition itself from a products culture to a services culture, and will effectively require an overhaul in terms of human capital deployment, management technique, and new service delivery capability.
"Staying ahead of this trend, we established a "Cloud" Practice, jointly led by Darren Cinti (Boston), Andreas Kauf (Munich) and Steve Stine (Singapore)," said Krishnan Rajagopalan, Managing Partner, Global Technology & Services Practice. "There is a sea of change at hand in the technology space and our practice is ready for the challenge. "Through one-on-one interviews and research we will inform, counsel and shape both technology and services companies on their talent investment. Do their executive leaders have the right skills, knowledge and experience to meet the challenges that arise from this paradigm shift?"
Heidrick & Struggles has already begun client work within the Cloud Practice, fulfilling a variety of leadership needs. "This practice is all about seeing potential, identifying what our clients need and finding new ways to add even more value to their Heidrick & Struggles experience," said Rajagopalan.
