Why culture matters to today's energy leaders is the focus of a presentation on March 20, 2013 by Senn Delaney Partner and Managing Director, EMEA, to utility leaders at the annual The Future of Utilities 2013 conference in London.

Seale will provide an overview on why culture matters to energy companies, based on Senn Delaney's decades of culture-shaping work with energy companies globally. “Energy and utility leaders, now more than ever, have an urgent need to build Thriving organizational cultures with the ability to deliver customer centricity, efficiency and asset optimisation, high safety performance and effective financial performance," said Seale. "This will require a cultural shift away from old, legacy mindsets. Leaders who focus leading this cultural transformation will ultimately create a brighter future for the industry as a whole."

Seale will address several key topics during the presentation to energy executives:

    How is your culture supporting your key strategic initiatives?
    How is your culture impacting service to the customer and operational efficiency?
    What some of the world's leading energy companies are doing to improve engagement and performance through the development of a high-performance culture. He will present case studies about two clients, UK Power Networks and Piedmont Natural Gas, discussing the positive results they have experienced from shaping their cultures.

The Future of Utilities 2013 conference by Marketforce Business Media brings together over 250 senior delegates from across water, electricity and gas sectors to debate the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. This year, there is a strong focus on customer operations in utilities, with speakers and an agenda covering issues from consumer engagement to operational efficiencies in billing and customer communications.

Speakers include 10 CEOs, including National Grid Chief Executive Officer Steve Holliday and E.ON UK Energy Chief Executive Officer Tony Cocker, a Secretary of State and many other board-level executives.
