Linquist has more than 25 years of industry and consulting experience. During his career he has focused on high-level leadership work within the energy and utility sectors.  Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, he was with another leading executive search firm.

Prior to launching his career in executive search, Linquist was a senior manager within the energy and utilities space at Accenture and vice president of finance at Peoples Energy Corporation, where he led corporate treasury as well as the project and structured finance unit.

Early in his career, Linquist served as vice president, Power and Infrastructure Group at ABN AMRO Bank and district engineer, mid-continent region for Shell Oil Company.

Linquist received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also is a registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
