Moran spent more than two decades with Heidrick & Struggles, where he was the Managing Partner of the Insurance Practice and Co-Regional Managing Partner for North America of the Financial Services Practice. He also was an instrumental member of the Global Financial Services Practice, serving clients among multiple industry sectors.  Most recently, he served as a Vice Chairman at another leading executive search firm, while also serving as a Partner in that firm's Financial Services and CEO & Board practices.

Moran brings more than 20 years of senior executive search experience in domestic and financial services, global insurance, brokerage, reinsurance, benefits, human capital, leadership assessment, board assignments and private equity. He has placed C-suite executives and board directors in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Moran received a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate higher diploma in education from the National University of Ireland, in Maynooth, Ireland. He also completed executive leadership programs at Harvard Business School and at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
