Baird will be based in the firm's New York City office, working within both the Financial Services and Leadership Consulting practices.

Baird joins Heidrick & Struggles from Taconic Capital Advisors, where she was the Chief Human Resources Officer. She has more than 20 years of diverse consulting and management experience in financial services, human capital, talent management, executive recruiting and strategy. Baird also worked with two prominent global executive search firms serving the global investment industry, and led strategic planning and market research for Fidelity Investments.

Earlier in her career Baird served as an engagement manager for McKinsey & Co. and also in real estate investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Baird earned her bachelor's degree in public policy from Princeton University, and then received her J.D. from Harvard Law School.  She also serves as chair of the Board of Directors of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and is an investment committee director for United Cerebral Palsy of New York City Foundation.
