WASHINGTON and CHICAGO, May 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Heidrick & Struggles (Nasdaq: HSII), a premier provider of executive search, leadership consulting and culture shaping worldwide, strengthens its Industrial expertise with the hire of Patrick Gray.  He will join the firm's Washington D.C. office as a Partner and will head its Aerospace, Defense and Aeronautics sector in the Americas.

Gray joins Heidrick & Struggles after spending five years at a boutique firm, where he helped to establish the group's Washington D.C. office. Gray specialized in the Aerospace, Defense, National Security & Government Services practice, as well as the general Industrial and Private Equity sectors.

Prior to his boutique search work, Gray was at another global executive search firm where he managed and executed many of that firm's top aerospace and defense industry searches across C-suite positions and board level placements.

Before his career in executive search, Gray also established and co-managed Gray Warren Enterprises LLC, an investment company focused on purchasing equity securities and developing analytical models, conducting financial statement analysis and company research, and performing industry and trend analysis. 

Gray earned his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy, and served as an intelligence officer for the U.S. Army. He then received his master's degree in business administration from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business.
